Industry Expert Lecture Series on Management  conducted for MBA between 30th Nov. to 8th Dec. 2018.

With a view to bridge the gap between academia and industry and to provide an eye-birds’ view of the various sectors of the industry,  Lecture Series were conducted by inviting   industry experts, management professionals and research consultants from varied segments  of industry to share their knowledge and industry experience with the MBA students.

These sessions gave a glimpse of the management nuances, current global industry scenario and the industry expectations of MBAs. The experts through their interactions with the students highlighted the need for imbibing responsible values with the right Knowledge, industry relevant Skill sets and the Attitude to adapt to the dynamic and fast changing global industry driven by Knowledge and Technology.

Day 1 – 30.11.2018 –  Session on  “e-Commerce”  by Ms. Sakshi Rastogi , alumni of XLRI – Jamshedpur and IIIT Allahbad and having worked in Snapdeal & Flipcart.

The content of the session was on Category Management which is one important part of running an E-commerce business, followed by experiential and  case studies analysis.

Day 2 – 01.12.2018 – Session on “Industry Expectation from an MBA Professional ‘ by Mr. Aravind Warrier,  a Senior HR Manager, NLP  certified Trainer, Visiting faculty at IIM (B), IIT,  IFIM, NMIMS and few other  institutions.

Day 3 – 03.12.2018 – Session on “GST as a Game Changer in Indian Economic Scenario”  by Mr. Kumaraswamy.     He has 30+   years of industrial experience in the field Finance, Accounts, Indirect taxation, Commercial and Operation of wide variety of industries in the capacity of DGM / Company Secretary  in Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Jindal Thermal Power Co. Limited, TG Kirloskar Automotive (P) Limited, Toyota Group etc., Presently, engaged in Cost Audit, Management Consultancy and Indirect taxation.

He presented the session with the the concept of GST, current scenario and its impact on the Indian industry & economy.

Day 4 – 04.12.2018 – Session on “Current Global Ethics in Business”  by Dr. S. Naik  with  about 5 decades  of experience in Mechanical Engineering Industry, Consultancy and Management teaching. Former General Manager at Bharath Fritz Werner, Bangalore – an Indo – German company;    Management Advisor & Technical Consultant for a medium size aerospace industry at  Bangalore.  Visiting Professor in Jain University & various Management schools.

Day 5 – 05.12.2018 – Session on “International Financial Reporting Standards – (IFRS)” by  Mr. Nishchal R B, a gold medalist and a practicing  Chartered Accountant.

Day 6 – 06.12.2018 – Session on “Indian Automobile Industry – Growth & Scope at the International  market scenario” conducted by  Dr Joy Mukhopadhyay , ( PG from IIT  Kharagpur &  PhD from IISc, Bangalore)   is a  Professor of Management, Research & Management Consultant. He is the Academic Supervisor for Warwick University, UK, Member of Board of Studies at  various Private Universities . He is a Resource person for a number of educational institutions in India and abroad including Amity Singapore,  IIT Kanpur, IMT Ghaziabad etc.,

Day 7 – 07.12.2018 – Session on ” Does Mergers & Acquisitions (M & A)  Create Value for Shareholders” was presented by Mr. Kriran Jagannath, with expertise in  building financials models, valuation, writing research reports, investment idea generation etc.  for global investors presently working as an equity research analyst with Moody’s Analytics , a subsidiary of Moody’s Corporation.

Day 8 – 08.12.2018 – Session on “Industrial Business Process  & ERP”  by Mr. Nataraja B.C. cetified SAP SD /SAP SCM Consultant , Corporate Trainer  at CMM 5 level IT Companies including  atos India Ltd., a subsidiary of Hindustan Unilever, Siemens IT solution Pvt Ltd., Wipro., Colt Ltd., Lafarge india Ltd., Robert Bosch India Ltd., IBM Daksh, Stumpp Schuelle Sommappa Pvt Ltd, Himalaya Drugs Ltd., Nielsen India Ltd., Kenna Metal widia ltd., TYCO Electronics Ltd .,  and many more.

An orientation Seminar on the topic – “Career Edge “- Prospects in BFSI sector was organised for the Commerce & Management students of UG on 11.04.2018. The session was conducted by the founder Directors, of ProEdge, CA Mr. Sriram Vamsi & CA Mr. Amit Kumar.

MBA students attended the Workshop on SAP & HR Analytics  conducted by the SAP trainers of IT Champs Academy.

A Workshop on ” How to get ready for the Industry – Industry Expectations from an MBA Professional” was  conducted by Mr. Aravind Warrier, a senior HR Consultant & a NLP certified Professional for MBA students on 01.12.2018.

A Workshop on “Computer Networking & Career Opportunities in the IT Indsutry” was organised for BCA students on 28.03.2018. Mr. Srikanth, a IT Professional & a Consultant conducted the session.

A Seminar was conducted on the topic “Web based Python”  for BCA students on 18.09.2019  by the fouder Director of RATS Technologies.

A Seminar on “Employability Index”  was conducted for UG / MBA students on 11.09.2018. The session was conducted by Mr. Shubham, Operations Head of iNurture.

As part of Personality Development Program, a  Workshop was conducted on the theme : ” Posititve Attitude & Self Confidence” for the UG students on  19.09.2019 under the expert guidance of Smt. Vimala Gopal, Councellor , Spiritual healer  & founder of Antar- Mana.

National Science Day 2019 celebrated on 28th February 2019

National Science Day was celebrated on 28^th February 2019 by the department of Biotechnology & Pharmacy of Aditya Institutions to commemorate the discovery of  “Raman Effect” by the Nobel laureate Sir C.V. Raman. The Chief guest for the day was Dr. P.H. Ramanjini Gowda, Profess Emeritus, Department of Plant Biotechnology, University of Agricultural Sciences, G.K.V.K. Bangalore & Mr. Sanjeeva Rayappa of Chemistry department of Yelahanka Government College.  The event was graced by Dr. B.A. Vishwanath, Chairman of Aditya group of Institutions.   Dr. Ramanjini Gowda delivered a talk on the topic ““Problems and Prospects of producing recombinant proteins in plants”.  Chairman, Dr. B.A. Vishwanath  addressed the students and advised to appreciate and imbibe Science and research which will pave great success in their future.

The students of Biotechnology & Pharmacy  put up an exhibition of different innovative  science models on topics related to Bio-gas & Vegetation, Sewage Treatment, Osmosis, Spirulina, Plant Tissue Culture, Microbial Antibody Assay, Bio-gas Production, Bio-diesel using Train model, Flood Control system, global warming & Rain water Harvesting etc., Department of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics also exhibited different models using innovative methodologies.  The guests appreciated the innovative and creative exhibits of students.

Students and faculty  of various departments visited the exhibition and appreciated the models and presentations.

72nd Independence Day Celebration on  15th August 2018

72nd Independence Day of India was celebrated  on 15th August 2018 by the students and staff in the department.  The students paid tributes to  all the freedom fighters who had sacrificed their lives  for India towards the freedom struggle.

In memory of all the great heroes  of freedom struggle, the students paid their respects through songs of national spirit, dance, skit  etc.,

International Yoga Day 2018 

International Yoga Day 2018 with the theme “Yoga for Peace” was observed on 21.06.2018 under the guidance of Yoga practitioner, Shri. Vasudev.   Seminar on ” Yoga in Management”  was followed by the students performing various aasanas / meditation to reap the benefits of Yoga in their daily life.

International Day of Yoga is observed on 21st June every year to spread awareness about the importance and effects of yoga on the health.  The word ‘yoga’ is derived from Sanskrit which means to join or to unite.  Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice which gives calmness, peace, confidence and courage to the people through which they can do several activities in a better way. At every level of existence, it is a state of harmony. Yoga is practiced in various forms around the world.

International Day of Yoga 2018: Theme

The International Day of Yoga 2018 theme is ‘Yoga for Peace’ which is organised by the permanent mission of India to the United Nations.

International Day of Yoga is also called World Yoga Day. For the first time it was celebrated on 21 June 2015. This initiative was taken by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi by giving an impactful speech related to yoga on 27 September 2014 in the United Nations General Assembly and for this reason, on 21 June, it was declared as “International Yoga Day”. The proposal to celebrate the International Yoga Day on 21 June in the United States was approved by 193 members on 11 December 2014.

In the UN General Assembly Narendra Modi said “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day”.

Accordingly, International Day of Yoga was observed at our Institute, under the guidance of Yoga practitioner, Shri. Vasudev.   Seminar on ” Yoga in Management”  was followed by the students performing various asanas / meditation to reap the benefits of Yoga in their daily life.  

As a tribute to the “The Father of the Constitution of India”,Ambedkar jayanthi was celebrated on 14.03.2018 to mark the 127th birth anniversary of Bhim Rao Ambedkar also popularly known as  Babasaheb.

On Saturday, April 14, 2018, students celebrated the 127th birth anniversary of Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Popularly known as  Babasaheb. He was an Indian jurist, economist, politician and social reformer who inspired the Dalit Buddhist Movement and campaigned against social discrimination against untouchables since he was a Dalit too and also supported the rights of women and labour.

However, Ambedkar’s importance in Indian history cannot just be limited to a person who championed for the rights of the poor, downtrodden and lower caste people. He can easily be remembered as “The Father of the Constitution of India” and the man who fought for the oppressed in the country. He was the principal architect of our Constitution and a founding father of the Republic of India.

As a tribute to the “The Father of the Constitution of India”, UG students presented a video on the life of Babasaheb. They also through songs and roll-play enacted about Dalit movement in India, the contribution made by Babasaheb fighting social discrimination and upholding the rights of Dalits & women in general.

Students interacted and spent the time qualitatively  with the inmates of the NGO, through learning and gaming activities.

To create awareness about  sustainable energy development for rural & urban  areas by using renewable energy sources, study visit was organised for MBA Students to Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Energy & Development,  a Government of Karnataka Institute on 13.12.2018.

At the current context wherein sustainable access to energy is a major concern universally, it is  important for MBA students to understand these issues and to gain practical knowledge on issues related to renewable energy. Therefore, a study visit was organised to Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Rural Energy & Development, Bangalore.

Students were sensitized  towards most crucial issues related to energy conservation, waste management and environment protection. Awareness was given to  students with knowledge and information on the current sensitive and burning issues related to conservation of energy, environment, rain water harvesting  bio-fuel etc.,
