NGO Visit by BCA

Students of BCA  visited an NGO, Aim for seva, an orphanage located in Attur, Yelahanka  as part of a community activity on 08.02.2020.

Students interacted and spent the time qualitatively  with the inmates of the NGO, through learning and gaming activities.

International Yoga Day 2019

Yoga session was organised under the guidance of Yoga Instructor Smt. Lakshmi Narasimha on 21.06.2019 at Aditya Indoor Stadium.

Students of MBA,  faculty and staff participated in the Yoga session with a lot of enthusiasm and performed various aasanas.

Smt. Lakshmi Narasimha, enlightened the audience about the relevance and therapeutic benefits  of Yoga. Accordingly various Aasanas were performed in view of holistic benefit of mind, body & soul.

Bengaluru Yuva Sammelana- 2018-19”

NSS students participated in the ” Bengaluru Yuva Sammelana- 2018-19” organised by Bengaluru Central University NSS Cell in association with the  Dept. of Youth Empowerment & Sports of Government of Karnataka  on 17.03.2019 at Gurunanak Bhavan, Vasanth Nagar, Bangalore.

 National Integration Camp 2019

Students of NSS participated in the National Integration Camp  ( Dedicated to Father of Nation – Mahatma Gandhiji ) organised by Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkuru in association with Dept. of Youth Empowerment & Sports State National Service Scheme Cell, Government of Karnataka between 18.03.2019 to 24.03.2019

 Dental Camp 2019

Free Dental Camp was organised for the staff, students and the general public by the NSS department in association with the Rajeev Gandhi College for Dental Sciences on 12.04.2019

Swachha  Bharath Abhiyaan –  Internship Program – 2018

Following the Prime Minister’s clarion call on 2nd October 2014 for each individual to devote at least 100 hours to Swachhata through the year, the Ministry of Human Resource Development in association with the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has launched the ‘Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Program.

The program aims to:

  • Develop the skill and orientation of youth for sanitation related work
  • Bring youth across the country an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the swachhata revolution
  • Integrate youth in the community service in rural areas in the run up to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

With this objective , under the guidance of various faculty Nodal officers, our students visited neighboring villages and schools through various Swaccha programs engaging the students and the general public to orient and bring awareness about the importance of Swaccha environment.

 Drug  Abuse – Awareness Program

As part of social awareness program, the Students & Faculty attended the Program on Ill-effects of Drug  A use and its avoidance addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Parameshwar  & other Expert Speakers at NIMHANS Convention Center on 27.08.2018.

International TIger Day was observed on 29.07.2018 by NSS 

The B.Com department presented  a talk on the relavance of  International Tiger Day through presentation of statistical information / Videos etc..
