As per the circular issued by Bengaluru City University, Aditya Institute of Management Studies and Research organized the live telecast of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking Awareness Program on 30 June 2026 for the MBA students. The program was projected in the Seminar Hall to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a drug-free society.
The live programme, organized by the Government of Karnataka, highlighted the growing concern of substance abuse among youth and emphasized the collective responsibility of educational institutions, families, and society in preventing drug addiction. The Hon’ble Chief Minister and other dignitaries addressed the gathering and encouraged students to stay away from narcotic substances and become ambassadors of awareness in their communities.
During the session, students gained valuable insights into the physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse. The program also stressed the importance of healthy lifestyles, positive peer influence, mental well-being, and timely intervention in combating substance abuse. Students actively watched the live telecast with great interest and understood the significance of making informed choices and promoting a drug-free environment.
The awareness programme served as an educational initiative that reinforced the institute’s commitment to nurturing socially responsible and health-conscious future managers. The session concluded with students taking a collective pledge to reject drug abuse and contribute towards building a safer and healthier society.
