First Aid Management, Disaster Management Training and Life Skill Development Program

A two-day training programme on First Aid Management, Disaster Management, Life Skills Development and Orientation on YRC was conducted by Dr. Manmohan Singh, Bengaluru City University YRC Cell, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, on 18th and 19th September 2026 at Jnana Jyothi Auditorium.

Highlights of the Program:
The programme focused on creating awareness about first aid, emergency preparedness, disaster response, and the importance of taking appropriate action during critical situations. The training emphasized the importance of providing timely assistance during emergencies and developing an understanding of basic first aid practices. Participants were encouraged to remain calm, assess emergency situations carefully, and seek appropriate medical assistance when required.

The disaster management sessions highlighted preparedness, safety awareness, coordinated response, and responsible action during disasters. The programme also emphasized teamwork and social responsibility, encouraging participants to be prepared to assist others and respond effectively during emergency situations.

Outcome:
The programme enhanced participants’ awareness of first aid, emergency preparedness, and disaster response. Participants were encouraged to develop a safety-conscious and responsible approach, remain calm during emergencies, and understand the importance of timely and coordinated action. The programme also promoted teamwork, discipline, social responsibility, and readiness to support others during critical situations.
