“National Library Week” was organized by the IQAC and Department of Library & Information Science from 14th -21st November 2024. As part of the event a “Book Exhibition and Book -Talk program” was organised in the college library.
The main motive of the program is to promote the use of books as well as the library among students, teaching & non-teaching staff. In the program the students were given five minutes time to express their views about the books that they have read. The program helped the students to learn the art of cultivating the reading habit.
National level Faculty Development Program on “Enhancing Research Competency – From Concept to Publication”, was organized by the IQAC and Institution’s Innovation Council of AIMS through virtual mode on 15th November 2024.

Discussed on what do we research, topic identification, literature review and various databases, data collection methods, sampling methods, sample size calculator, pilot study, various statistical software’s, data visualization tools, qualitative analysis methods, bibliography styles and tools.
Provided valuable tips for identification of authenticated journals based on journal metrics and manuscript preparation.
Shed light on methods to enhance research abilities such as a Research Plan, Improved information literacy, technology utilization, enhanced writing skills and participation in research communities.
The faculty development program aimed at improving research abilities of the academicians and researchers provided valuable insights on the need for research skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills and dissemination of information. The session enriched and inspired the participants to build a research culture that thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and academic excellence.
National Education Day Celebrations were organized by the IQAC and Institution’s Innovation Council of AIMS on 11th November 2024.
National Education Day is observed every year on November 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Shri. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. This day serves as a powerful symbol of India’s commitment to education and acts as a reminder to address the ongoing challenges in the education sector. As part of the celebrations, a Debate competition was conducted on “Impact of social media on students” and “AI and its impact on education”. Also, elocution competition was conducted on “Importance of career guidance in education” and “Examination is a boon or Bane to education”.
Students have actively participated in the competitions and expressed their views on the given topics. The event has provided insights on the contributions of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, to Indian Education System and his vision of a progressive, inclusive and empowered nation.
Placement cell organised virtual campus drive and invited “Arvind Fashions Ltd” for the placement of MBA students on 7th October 2024.
The drive started with pre-placement talk by the HR Manager Mr. Shyam Darera followed by Group Discussion round. Approximately, 75 students participated in the virtual placement drive and 10 students were shortlisted for final HR round.

Key Highlights: The seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Python programming equipped participants with essential AI concepts and hands-on experience using libraries like OpenCV. Attendees enhanced their coding skills, networked with peers, and received valuable resources for continued learning, while discussions on ethical considerations highlighted AI’s societal impacts.
Skill Development Course on “Advanced Excel with power BI” scheduled from 8th Oct – 13th Nov 2024, was initiated by IQAC & Institution’s Innovation Cell in association with Systems Domain for MBA II Semester Students.
The objective of the course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to leverage both Excel and Power BI effectively for data analysis and visualization. Also, to develop students critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
The trainer Mr. Diptarko Das, is an expert trainer for Advanced Excel and Data analytics and started the first session on 8th Oct 2024, with basics of Advanced Excel.
Aditya Institute of Management Studies conducted UG FRESHERS DAY Celebration for the UG Batch 2024-25 on Saturday, 28th September 2024 at the campus Auditorium.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest, Shri. Bhaskar Pai, Founder- CEO of Fun2do SSP, Former Sales Director and CEO of GE Lighting & Appliances, South Asia.
The program was presided by Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, Aditya Group of Institutions & Vice Chairperson Dr. Priya Vishwanath.

Addressing the Fresher students, the Chief Guest Shri. Bhaskar Pai advised students to expose to new perspectives, technologies, business models, global challenges and embrace failures as stepping stones. He insisted on the necessity of building network in the interconnected world, taking responsibility, inspiring others, integrity, empathy, making difficult decisions with courage and conviction to make positive impact on society through Social Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility.
The bi-annual 2024 news letter, 1st Edition, Volume V – “AIMS Voice” was unveiled by the Chief Guest.
The inaugural program was followed by a glittering Cultural performances by the students.
Aditya Institute of Management Studies & Research has organised Internal SMART India Hackathon 2024 on 25th September, for which 15 teams have participated and enthusiastically presented their innovative ideas in the field of Cyber security, AI, Wearable sensors, Agricultural Apps, logistics, EV vehicles and services and Pets transportation etc. The question & answer session by jury and participants have ignited their thoughts to take their ideas to next level.
