Skill Development Course on “Business Analytics with AI”

Training Details:
A comprehensive training program on “Business Analytics with AI” for 40 hours was organized in two batches from 10th February to 26th April, 2025 at Aditya Institute of Management studies & Research in association with the Training partner, Systems Domain Pvt Ltd.

The course curriculum was industry-relevant and covered, Introduction to Business Analytics, Data Collection, Cleaning, and Processing, Statistical Analysis and Forecasting, Introduction to Machine Learning and AI, Predictive Analytics for Business Decision Making, Data Visualisation, AI Tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, Google Studio, ChatGPT, Gemini etc.

The course content was delivered through interactive sessions, practical lab and coding exercises using Real-world datasets for analysis. Group activities and project-based assessments were also conducted.

The skill development course on Business Analytics with AI, successfully empowered students with vital skills in application of Data Visualization tools. As part of the III Semester Project, students have submitted a real-time project to the university based on the training. It served as a strong foundation for careers in data analytics, business intelligence, and AI-driven decision making.

  2. To provide hands-on training on various digital marketing tools and platforms.
  3. To encourage entrepreneurial thinking and digital innovation.

Training Program Details:
A skill development course on Digital Marketing for 40 hours was conducted from 10th February to 26th April, 2025 at Aditya Institute of Management studies & Research in association with Training partner Netcraftz Pvt Ltd.

The course covered various topics such as, Introduction to Digital Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing (SMM), Email Marketing, Content Marketing, Google Analytics, Online Brand Management.

The course was delivered through a blend of theoretical instruction, hands-on practice and real time project assignments using various platforms and tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva Tool, Mail Chimp, Duplicate Checker, Google Ads & Analytics, Bloggings, Humanizer, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertisement etc.

The skill development course on Digital Marketing was a successful initiative, contributing to the professional development of the students. The Training session equipped students with digital marketing skills and usage of various tools & techniques of social media marketing platforms. As part of the III Semester Project, students have submitted a real-time project to the university based on the training.

World Creativity & Innovation Day – LOGO DESIGNING COMPETITION

World Creativity & Innovation Day – LOGO DESIGNING COMPETITION organized by IQAC, Institution’s Innovation Council and Marketing Forum of AIMS on 24th April, 2025 for both UG and MBA students.

Objective:
1) To commemorate World Creativity and Innovation Day by fostering student engagement in creative activities.
2) To provide a platform for UG and PG students to express their design and visual communication skills and to promote original thinking and innovation through practical, hands-on experience.
3) To enhance students’ confidence and collaborative skills through participation in competitions.

Event Details:
1) The IQAC, Institution’s Innovation Council, and the Marketing Forum of Aditya Institute of Management Studies organized a Logo Designing Competition to celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event was held at the AIMS Seminar Hall and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The competition provided a platform for students to unleash their creativity and showcase their skills in visual design and branding.

2) The competition aimed to challenge students to visualize and develop a logo centered around creativity and innovation. It served as a great opportunity for students to translate their ideas into a visual format while applying their knowledge of aesthetics and branding principles.

3) A wide range of logo entries were submitted, each showcasing different perspectives and design approaches. The evaluation criteria included creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, clarity of concept, and overall impact. Faculty members acted as judges and appreciated the students’ imagination and skills.

The event successfully created an interactive and engaging environment where students could explore and apply their creative potential. It encouraged participants to push their creative boundaries and reinforced the significance of visual communication in modern marketing. The competition not only celebrated creativity but also instilled a sense of confidence and achievement in students. It was a productive learning experience and helped cultivate a culture of innovation and design thinking within the campus.

BCA Department organised Community Outreach Program – Visit to Karnataka Snehajeevi Ashrama, on 25th April 2025.

Key Highlights of the visit:

  • A delegation of students and faculty visited Karnataka Snehajeevi Ashrama, home to elderly and patient residents.
  • The group served meals to the residents and spent quality time interacting with them, promoting a sense of community and compassion.
  • Students performed a dance segment, which brought smiles and joy to the residents. Many residents enthusiastically participated, showcasing their spirit and enthusiasm despite physical limitations.
  • Residents shared their life stories, highlighting their struggles before joining the ashrama. They expressed deep gratitude towards Mr. Hemanth Kannadiga, whom they consider a guardian angel. His selfless service and care have made a significant impact on their lives.
  • Mr. Hemanth Kannadiga’s dedication and compassion were evident in the residents’ testimonials, describing him as a source of inspiration and comfort.

The visit to Karnataka Snehajeevi Ashrama was a profoundly enriching experience that promoted social responsibility, compassion, and community engagement among students and faculty. The students were deeply moved by the residents’ stories and Mr. Hemanth Kannadiga’s selfless dedication, and look forward to future opportunities for collaboration and service.

Awareness and Prevention of Sexual Harassment

QAC and Women Grievance & Sexual Harassment Cell of AIMS, conducted a Seminar on “Awareness and Prevention of Sexual Harassment” on 17th April, 2025 for UG and MBA First Year Students.

Resource Person: Mrs. Suja Sukumaran, Liaison Officer- Enfold Trust, Worked for UNICEF Projects, Women and Child Department. imparts Awareness Training for POSH, POCSO, Child Rights and Life skills. She has worked as a Court appointed Volunteer in an Organisation called Voices for Children, California for Juveniles for conflicts with law in San Diego, California and also worked as Media Correspondent in the US.

Highlights:
The Session was conducted with the primary aim of educating the students about the nature, consequences and preventive measures related to sexual harassment in various settings, particularly at the workplace, Educational Institutions and Social daily life. The session emphasized on the importance of creating a safe and respectful environment and also provided valuable insights into the definition and types of Sexual Harassment, citing real life cases and legal frameworks.

Students were able to get insights on the various Laws Prevailing to Sexual Harassment and gained knowledge on what constitutes Sexual Harassment and its various forms. Students also became familiar with the laws and policies such as POSH and POCSO Act.

Protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Startups

Workshop on “Protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Startups” was organized by the IQAC, Institution’s Innovation Council and Entrepreneurship Cell for MBA students.

Guest Speaker: Dr. Harish Kumar P, Practicing Advocate, Principal, Aditya College of Law.

Highlights of the Session::

  1. The resource person elaborated on the legal framework governing IPRs in India, covering essential laws such as the Patents Act, 1970; Trademarks Act, 1999; Copyright Act, 1957; Design Act, 2000; The Geographical Indications Act, 1999; The Semiconductor Integrated Circuits Layout- Design Act, 2000 and other relevant legislation and provided insights into various aspects of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  2. Attendees also gained practical knowledge of patent filing procedures and trademark registration, crucial for startups looking to establish their brand identity. The session included discussions on real-life case studies with special focus on implications to startups that highlighted the importance of securing intellectual property and the consequences of violation of law.
  3. The resource person emphasized the role of intellectual property in fostering innovation and economic growth, urging participants to integrate IP management into their business strategies.

The workshop successfully enhanced participants’ understanding of IPRs and their significance in safeguarding business innovations. The interactive session allowed attendees to clarify doubts and explore legal strategies for intellectual property management.

The workshop has provided valuable insights on various job descriptions and skill sets required to acquire their dream careers.

Seminar on Skills for Tommorow was organised by IQAC & Institution’s Innovation Council in association with International Skill Development Corporation on 26th March 2025 for UG final year students.

Startup Planning: Legal, Ethical and Financial Strategies for Entrepreneurs

Workshop on “Startup Planning: Legal, Ethical and Financial Strategies for Entrepreneurs”, in Association with “MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Government of India”, organized by IQAC, Institution’s Innovation Council & Entrepreneurship Cell of AIMS on 17th March 2025 for final year UG & MBA students.

Guest Speaker:Mr. Gopinath Rao, Ex. Deputy Director, MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Government of India.

Highlights:
1) The resource person emphasised the role of Central and State governments in Startup Ecosystem through various statistics.
2) He has provided valuable insights on various fund-raising strategies for Startups such as Bootstrapping, Government grants, Angel investors, Venture capital, Crowd funding etc.
3) Discussed on various Central Government funding schemes like, Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS), Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Stand-Up India Scheme, MUDRA, SIDBI Venture Capital Funds & Support and and Karnataka State Government schemes like, Elevate 100 Program (Funding & Mentorship for startups), Idea2PoC (Proof of Concept) Grant, New Age Incubation Network (NAIN), AVGC (Animation, VFX, Gaming) Startup Support and GoK’s Innovation and Technology Incubation Centers.
4) Also shed light on legal and ethical aspects of startups such as the process for startup registration, compliance and regulatory framework, contracts & agreements, governance, ethical considerations with respect to decision making and social responsibility to build the trust of stakeholders.
5) The Q & A session clarified the queries of the students in legal and financial aspects.

The workshop laid foundation on legal and ethical aspects to be considered for establishment of a startup and various fund raising strategies, especially Central and Karnataka State Government financial assistance for Startups. It has also provided valuable inputs on mentorship and incubation support from the government.
