National Voter’s Day

Event: National Voter’s Day Celebration was organized by the IQAC and NSS Forum on 23rd January for UG students.

National Voter’s day, observed every year on 25th January to mark the foundation day the Election Commission of India. This day reminds us of one of our most powerful rights and responsibilities as citizens of democracy- “the right to vote”.

The program began with an introduction highlighting the significance of National Voter’s Day. An awareness talk was delivered by faculties on importance of voting, need of voting and also few real time experiences were shared so that it should not happen in future. Students were informed about voter registration, voting rights, and ethical voting practices. Followed by speech from student highlighting the importance of voting and democratic values. The program concluded with a pledge in both English and Kannada to uphold democratic principles and participate responsibly in elections.

Students gained awareness about the importance of voting in a democratic system. Participants developed an understanding of voter rights, duties, and responsibilities. The celebration promoted ethical, informed, and responsible voting behaviour among students.

Objectives of the Seminar:

To introduce the concepts of Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design and their relevance in today’s professional environment.

To enhance problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills among students.

To motivate students to enhance their skills to become job-ready and placement-ready.

To encourage continuous learning and alignment of skills with industry requirements.

Highlights of the Seminar:

The workshop featured an interactive and informative session conducted by Mr. Shashank, Cluster Head, Anudip Foundation. He explained the importance of design thinking and critical thinking in addressing real-world problems and fostering innovation. The session was highly engaging, with active participation from students through discussions and question-and-answer interactions. The resource person also elaborated on various skill enhancement courses available for students during the semester, emphasizing how these programs can help improve technical competence, industry exposure, and employability. Practical insights and career-oriented guidance provided during the session motivated students to prepare themselves effectively for placements and future job opportunities.

Building Startups in the Digital Era

In celebration of National Startup Day, Aditya Institute of Management Studies and Research, through IQAC, IIC, and the Entrepreneurship Forum, organized a workshop titled “Building Startups in the Digital Era” on Wednesday, 21st January 2026.
The workshop aimed to create awareness among students about the startup ecosystem and to motivate them to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option in the digital age.
HIGHLIGHTS
The program was marked by an engaging and informative session conducted by Mr. Loknath N, Founder of LearnCraft Academy , who shared valuable insights into startup development and entrepreneurship in the digital era. The workshop highlighted the importance of idea generation, innovation, and the effective use of digital tools in building successful startups. Real-world examples and entrepreneurial experiences discussed during the session helped students relate theoretical concepts to practical business scenarios. Active interaction between the resource person and participants through discussions and questions made the session lively and impactful, contributing to an enhanced learning experience for the students.
It successfully achieved its objective of encouraging students to explore startups and innovation. The session was well-received and proved beneficial in nurturing entrepreneurial skills among students. Interaction with Mr. Loknath N helped students understand real-world challenges faced by entrepreneurs, the significance of strategic decision-making, and the role of digital platforms in scaling businesses, thereby enhancing their readiness to engage with emerging entrepreneurial opportunities.

MAKARA SANKRANTI & ETHNIC DAY CELEBRATION

The celebration was marked by enthusiastic participation from students, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere with ethnic attire on campus. The treasure hunt game & kite making was the major highlight of the event, where students worked in teams to solve clues, explore the campus, and complete tasks with excitement and coordination.

Traditional decorations, festive spirit, and student energy added charm to the celebration. The activity successfully blended fun with learning, encouraging collaboration, quick thinking, and healthy competition, making the Sankranthi celebration a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

MBA Students Participate in Rashtriya Yuva Din 2026 Programme Honouring Swami Vivekananda

The Students of MBA Participated in the programme, organized in observance of Rashtriya Yuva Din – 2026, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The event was organized by the Hon’ble MLA Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan, MLA, Malleshwaram Constituency, and was held at Chowdaiah Memorial Hall, Malleshwaram, on 12 January 2026.

The programme featured eminent speakers such as Mr. Prakash Belavadi, Theatre Artist and Journalist; Dr. Prashanth Prakash, Padma Shri awardee and renowned industrialist; and Mr. Shashi Shekhar Vempati, Former CEO of Television and Prasar Bharati. Their addresses emphasized the ideals of Swami Vivekananda, focusing on youth empowerment, leadership, creativity, and the role of young minds in nation building.

The session was further enriched by interactive and inspirational contributions from singer Naveen Sajju, Olympic athlete Unnathi Aiyappa, and entrepreneur Kaushik Mudda- Co-founder of Ethereal Machines, who shared their personal journeys and motivated the students through their experiences.

The visit helped students to gain valuable exposure to real-life leadership experiences and contemporary perspectives on career development. It further enriched their learning experience, to pursue values-based personal and professional growth.

Christmas Celebration at Aditya Group of Institutions

Aditya Group of Institutions (AGI) celebrated Christmas with great joy and festive spirit on 23rd December 2025 at 11:00 AM at Indoor Stadium. The celebration brought together management, principals, faculty members, nonteaching staff, and students, creating an atmosphere of unity, happiness, and cultural harmony.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Mahesh Burande, Hon. Director and Chairman, Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research. His presence added significance to the occasion, and his address inspired the gathering with messages of peace, compassion, and togetherness.
The celebration was held under the esteemed patronage of Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, AGI, and Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Vice-Chairperson, AGI, whose continued support fosters a vibrant and inclusive campus culture.
The programme featured festive decorations, a beautifully adorned Christmas tree, and cheerful participation from students, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas-love, sharing, and goodwill. The event concluded on a joyful note, strengthening bonds among the AGI community and reinforcing values of unity and celebration.

Sexual Harassment Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Awareness Programme for MBA Students

Sexual Harassment Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Awareness Program was organised by the IQAC, IIc and Sexual Harassment Cell on 29th December, 2025 for MBA students.

The objective of the event is to create awareness about sexual harassment at the workplace and its various forms and to familiarise participants with the key provisions and scope of the SH Act, 2013.

The awareness Program was conducted to sensitise students/future employees about workplace dignity and safety. The programme began with an introduction to the concept of sexual harassment and its various forms—physical, verbal, non-verbal, and digital.

The key provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 including POSH, POCSO, IIC and SHe Box were explained, highlighting the scope of the Act, duties of employers, and rights of complainants. Special emphasis was given to the formation, powers, and functioning of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).

Participants were also informed about the complaint mechanism, timelines for filing complaints, confidentiality norms, and penalties for false complaints. The session included real-life examples and case discussions to enhance understanding. Information about the Government of India’s SHE-Box Portal for online complaint registration was also shared. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.

Intra-Institutional Hackathon: Idea Demonstration

Intra-Institutional Hackathon: Idea Demonstration was organised by IQAC, IIC and IT Forum of AIMS
on 25th November 2025.

The Intra-Institutional Hackathon provided a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and creativity through idea demonstrations in Data Analytics and Web Programming.

Dashboard Development (Data Analytics)
Students created dashboards using Excel and Power BI, involving data cleaning, visualization, insight extraction, and presentation. Their dashboards reflected clarity, analytical strength, and effective visual design.

Website Front-End Development (Web Programming)
Participants designed website front pages using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript with focus on layout, styling, responsiveness, and user experience. They presented their designs along with possible future improvements.
Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating creativity, technical competence, and strong preparation.

The Hackathon was productive and inspiring, successfully promoting hands-on learning, innovation, and teamwork among students.

Aditya Institute Students Shine at Karnataka Rajyotsava Competitions

On 19th of November, students of Aditya Institute of Management Studies visited Bishop Cotton to participated in the Karnataka Rajyotsava inter-college competitions. They took part in the Essay Writing Competition and Rangoli competition.

We are pleased to report that our students secured 2nd place in both events, showcasing their creativity and talent.The participation provided valuable exposure and brought pride to the institution.
