Key Highlights: Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme on “Product Identification & Business Plan for Micro and Small Enterprises” was organised by the Institution’s Innovation Council, IQAC and Entrepreneurship Forum of AIMS in association with MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Bangalore for MBA students. The awareness programme provided invaluable insights on Entrepreneurial opportunities and support from MSME Department by a highly esteemed Resource Persons.
Resource Person: Mr. Gopinath Rao Mr. Gopinath Rao, IEDS, Deputy Director, MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Government of India, had 10 years of industry experience in private sector and 25 years of experience in MSME Development Institute, Government of India worked across India. He has organised innumerable training programmes exclusively for MSME units and supported more than 500 Entrepreneurs in establishing their Start-ups.
Key Points Emphasized by Mr. Gopinath Rao: 1) Emphasized on the need for Entrepreneurship in promoting social change, driving innovation, to spur economic growth and there by employment generation, community development and wealth creation. 2) He has clarified the Myths of becoming an entrepreneur. Highlighted on the right attitude and skills required to become an entrepreneur with various live examples from different sectors. Shared statistics about MSME sector and its contribution towards employment generation, industrial growth, exports and GDP of the Country. 3) Provided valuable insights on the process, phases and requirements of setting up an Enterprise such as Project selection, Technology & Machinery, Arranging Finance, Unit Development, MSME Registration, Approvals, Quality Certification and finally challenges faced by Small Entrepreneurs. 4) Had a question-and-answer session with the students, where the resource person shared valuable inputs, especially the support from MSME for new and first-generation entrepreneurs.

Resource Person: Mrs. Shobha Singh Ms. Shobha Singh, an Alumni, IIM Calcutta, HR Professional & Corporate Trainer with vast industry experience in the fields of Performance Management, Talent Management, Leadership and effective communication, and passionate for People Management.
Key Points Emphasized by Mrs. Shobha Singh: 1) Emphasized the concept of positive stress and negative stress. What triggers the stress and their impact on personal and professional performance. 2) Shared some insights on how to balance the stress at personal life and professional life. Given live examples for the students how to cope with positive and negative stress. 3) Suggested the best life style to follow to balance the stress, like physical exercises, yoga, meditation, sufficient sleep, walking, music, reading, writing, sharing with friends, family and so on. 4) The resource person has given hands on experience with fun games. 5) Had a question-and-answer session with the students, where the resource person shared her experience & valuable insights on corporate pressure and how it can be managed.
