Christmas Celebration at Aditya Group of Institutions

Aditya Group of Institutions (AGI) celebrated Christmas with great joy and festive spirit on 23rd December 2025 at 11:00 AM at Indoor Stadium. The celebration brought together management, principals, faculty members, nonteaching staff, and students, creating an atmosphere of unity, happiness, and cultural harmony.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Mahesh Burande, Hon. Director and Chairman, Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research. His presence added significance to the occasion, and his address inspired the gathering with messages of peace, compassion, and togetherness.
The celebration was held under the esteemed patronage of Dr. B. A. Vishwanath, Chairman, AGI, and Dr. Priya Vishwanath, Vice-Chairperson, AGI, whose continued support fosters a vibrant and inclusive campus culture.
The programme featured festive decorations, a beautifully adorned Christmas tree, and cheerful participation from students, reflecting the true spirit of Christmas-love, sharing, and goodwill. The event concluded on a joyful note, strengthening bonds among the AGI community and reinforcing values of unity and celebration.

Sexual Harassment Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Awareness Programme for MBA Students

Sexual Harassment Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Awareness Program was organised by the IQAC, IIc and Sexual Harassment Cell on 29th December, 2025 for MBA students.

The objective of the event is to create awareness about sexual harassment at the workplace and its various forms and to familiarise participants with the key provisions and scope of the SH Act, 2013.

The awareness Program was conducted to sensitise students/future employees about workplace dignity and safety. The programme began with an introduction to the concept of sexual harassment and its various forms—physical, verbal, non-verbal, and digital.

The key provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 including POSH, POCSO, IIC and SHe Box were explained, highlighting the scope of the Act, duties of employers, and rights of complainants. Special emphasis was given to the formation, powers, and functioning of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).

Participants were also informed about the complaint mechanism, timelines for filing complaints, confidentiality norms, and penalties for false complaints. The session included real-life examples and case discussions to enhance understanding. Information about the Government of India’s SHE-Box Portal for online complaint registration was also shared. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.

Aditya College Christmas Celebration is a joyful gathering that brings students, faculty, and staff together to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas. The celebration is filled with festive cheer through carol singing, cultural performances, fun activities, and moments of togetherness that spread happiness and positivity across the campus. It reflects values of love, unity, sharing, and gratitude, creating memorable experiences and strengthening bonds within the Aditya College family while embracing the warmth and joy of the season. ✨

Intra-Institutional Hackathon: Idea Demonstration

Intra-Institutional Hackathon: Idea Demonstration was organised by IQAC, IIC and IT Forum of AIMS
on 25th November 2025.

The Intra-Institutional Hackathon provided a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and creativity through idea demonstrations in Data Analytics and Web Programming.

Dashboard Development (Data Analytics)
Students created dashboards using Excel and Power BI, involving data cleaning, visualization, insight extraction, and presentation. Their dashboards reflected clarity, analytical strength, and effective visual design.

Website Front-End Development (Web Programming)
Participants designed website front pages using HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript with focus on layout, styling, responsiveness, and user experience. They presented their designs along with possible future improvements.
Students participated enthusiastically, demonstrating creativity, technical competence, and strong preparation.

The Hackathon was productive and inspiring, successfully promoting hands-on learning, innovation, and teamwork among students.

Aditya Institute Students Shine at Karnataka Rajyotsava Competitions

On 19th of November, students of Aditya Institute of Management Studies visited Bishop Cotton to participated in the Karnataka Rajyotsava inter-college competitions. They took part in the Essay Writing Competition and Rangoli competition.

We are pleased to report that our students secured 2nd place in both events, showcasing their creativity and talent.The participation provided valuable exposure and brought pride to the institution.

Government Schemes & Support for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

National Entrepreneurship Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 14th November 2025. As part of the celebrations, the Institution’s Innovation Council and Entrepreneurship Forum organized a Students Seminar on the theme “Government Schemes & Support for Aspiring Entrepreneurs”.

The objective of the program is to enhance knowledge about financial, technical, and incubation support extended by Central and State Governments for Entrepreneurs.

Highlights:

  1. The event focused on educating students on multiple startup-friendly policies and initiatives designed to transform India into a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
  2. Students made detailed presentations on a wide range of central and state government schemes supporting Start-ups and New Business Ventures. To name a few schemes presented are:
    Stand-Up India Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), Credit Guarantee Scheme for Startups (CGSS), Shramashakthi Scheme, Samruddhi Scheme, Unnati Scheme, Startup India Initiative, Chief Minister’s Self Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP), Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Interest Subsidy Scheme for SC/ST Entrepreneurs, Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS), Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for MSMEs (CGTMSE), Karnataka Startup Policy 2025–2030, and National SC/ST Hub.
  3. The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation from UG students, highlighting the features of various schemes and success stories.

The seminar enriched the students’ understanding of government-supported entrepreneurial opportunities. Participants gained clarity on how to utilize various schemes for funding, incubation, mentorship, and market support. Furthermore, the event inspired students to explore entrepreneurship as a promising career option beyond traditional employment.

AIMS Hosts SEBI Investor Awareness Program on National Education Day

To mark National Education Day the IQAC, IIC and Finance Forum of AIMS organised an Investors Financial Awareness Program by SEBI on 12th November 2025.
The session was designed to impart practical knowledge on personal finance and informed investment decisions to undergraduate students.

Resource person: Dr. Sarika R. Lohana, a distinguished academician and financial consultant with over 19 years of experience in teaching, research, and industry, delivered an insightful talk.
Dr. Lohana, who has served as a Post-Doctoral Fellow with SBI and UGC and is empanelled with SEBI, NCDEX, PFRDA, NISM, and MCX, shared her expertise on topics such as financial planning, mutual funds, stock market dynamics, and investor grievance mechanisms.

Session Highlights:

  1. Dr. Sarika Lohana, Consultant at SEBI, who delivered an insightful presentation on various aspects of financial planning and investor protection. She elaborated on the importance of informed investing, the role of SEBI in ensuring transparency, and the regulatory framework governing the securities market. Topics such as mutual funds, stock trading, investment risks, and grievance redressal were discussed in detail.
  2. She also highlighted the evolving landscape of digital finance, the rise of FinTech, and the need for young investors to stay vigilant in an era of increasing cyber and investment frauds. Her engaging examples and real-world insights kept students deeply involved throughout the session.
  3. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and posing questions related to investment opportunities and fraud prevention. The resource person addressed all queries with practical examples, making the session both engaging and informative.

Overall, the Investors Awareness Program by SEBI proved to be an enriching experience for undergraduate students, successfully fulfilling the objective of National Education Day by promoting knowledge and awareness beyond academic learning.

India Manufacturing Show (IMS 2025)

UG students have visited “India Manufacturing Show (IMS 2025)” organised by Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bangalore, on 7th November, 2025.

Visit Highlights

The exhibition is all about manufacturing industries who are major into Airforce, Navy and Army manufacturing devices.
Students interacted with the manufacturers regarding the MISSEIL destroyer, MArG-39, Mechanised Septic tank cleaning Machines, MOB Control Vehicle, Pro-Digital Company etc. Many companies across India have exhibited their models, to name a few:

  1. Chandra Engineering Works: Makes defence, air force, and navy machines and semiconductor parts.
  2. Caltech: Works on ship building, missile systems, and submarine control.
  3. Tigerhawk Technologies Pvt. Ltd.: Provides component sourcing, product design, and testing services.
  4. K-Tech 1325 CNC Machine: Demonstrated CNC cutting on wood, acrylic, aluminum, etc. using NC Studio software.
  5. Raametel: Showed antennas, RF connectors, and audio accessories.
  6. Mohnot Instruments: Displayed ground robots with GPS, video, and thermal cameras.
  7. Aura Technologies: Partners with Toshiba and Hwacheon for CNC and rotary machines used in heavy industries.

This visit helped students to understand how robotics, CNC machines, and defence equipment are designed and made in India. It also showed how Indian industries are supporting the Make in India Mission by developing advanced technology locally. Students learned the importance of innovation and teamwork in industrial growth.

The Futuristic Leadership Summit 2025

MBA students and faculty attended “The Futuristic Leadership Summit 2025” on 30th October 2025 at Sri M V Auditorium, FKCCI, K G Road, Bangalore, organized by Bangalore Management Association (BMA).

The summit brought together industry experts, academicians, and leaders to discuss emerging trends shaping the future of leadership in the era of technology and human – centered management.

Session Highlights

1.The Inaugural Session was graced by eminent dignitaries including Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai (Padma Bhushan & Founding CEO, BrahMos Aerospace), Flt. Lt. K.P. Nagesh, and other key office bearers of BMA. The address emphasized innovation, adaptability, and visionary leadership for the evolving business landscape.

Speakers from Microsoft, Spatially AI, and leading organizations discussed the role of AI, data analytics, and digital agility in redefining business leadership and operational efficiency.

Experts from academia and industry highlighted the importance of emotional intelligence, inclusivity, and resilience as essential qualities for future leaders.

The Valedictory Session concluded with reflections on the fusion of technology and human values as the foundation for sustainable and responsible leadership.

The summit offered valuable insights into balancing technological competence with human sensitivity in leadership. MBA students gained exposure to practical leadership challenges, future skill expectations, and strategic adaptability in a dynamic business environment. The interaction with distinguished speakers enriched their understanding and inspired them to become innovative and empathetic future leaders.
