

ADITYA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES & RESEARCH National level Conference on "Sustainability – Paradigm Shift in Global Business Practices”, organized by the IQAC and Institution's Innovation Council of AIMS through Hybrid mode on 3rd December 2024. Objectives of the Conference: 1. To enhance the research culture amongst enthusiastic Research scholars, Academicians and the student’s fraternity. 2. To inspire mutual dialogue, share best practices and contribute for an intensive learning. Resource Persons: Chief Guest – Dr. Y. Nagaraju, Director, CBSMS, Bangalore University. Guest of Honour – Dr. B. S. Srikanta, Academic advisor of Indian Academy. Keynote Speaker - Rtn. Shri. Mohan Kumar, Academic advisor and Technocrat, President for Rotary Bangalore – Ulsoor wing. Highlights of the Session: National Conference started with Inaugural session. Director, Prof. Dr. V. Pushpa Shetty welcomed the guests and invitees highlighting the objectives and purpose of the conference. The Chief Guest, Dr. Y. Nagaraju in his address, emphasized the importance of inculcating research culture among academia and students and provided insights on protection of natural resources and efficient use of resources. Guest of Honour, Dr. B. S. Srikanta, provided valuable inputs on the concepts of sustainability with 3Ps i.e. Profit, People and Planet and the need to adopt sustainable practices for business organisations for economic development with social responsibility and protection of environment. Keynote speaker, Rtn. Mohan Kumar, shed light on emerging concepts of sustainability such as ESG, Carbonization, Circular economy, UN Sustainable Development Goals etc. He has emphasized on one’s conscious and responsible day to day behaviour to save our Planet. The later session was continued with paper presentations in various tracks under various session chairs from Industry and academia. Total 103 papers have been received, out of which 71 from academicians and 32 from student fraternity. Participants across the Nation have enthusiastically presented papers under various themes. The National conference on "Sustainability- Paradigm shift in Global business Practices" have provided a platform for academicians and students to share valuable insights on the business practices in this sustainable era. It has also emphasized on the need for research skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, analytical skills and dissemination of information. The session enriched and inspired the participants to build a research culture that thrives on collaboration, curiosity, and academic excellence.
