A Technical Talk on “Multimodal Reasoning for Robotics and Process Intelligence (MRRPI)” was conducted by the IQAC and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of AIMS for UG and MBA students on 27th Oct, 2025.
Resource Person: Dr. Petar Durdevic,
CEO, Ownlystics,
Associate Professor, Aalborg University, Denmark.
Highlights:
- Dr. Petar Durdevic, delivered an insightful presentation on how multimodal reasoning integrates various forms of data — such as visual, textual, and sensor-based information — to enhance the performance and decision-making capabilities of intelligent robotic systems.
- He explained that Multimodal Reasoning for Robotics and Process Intelligence (MRRPI) is an emerging area of Artificial Intelligence that enables machines to interpret and act upon complex real-world scenarios using data from multiple sources. The approach strengthens automation systems by improving perception, contextual understanding, and adaptive learning in robotics and industrial processes.
- Dr. Durdevic also emphasized the role of process intelligence in optimizing workflows, improving efficiency, and enabling predictive decision-making across various sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. Through real-world examples and case studies from his research and entrepreneurial experience, he illustrated how multimodal AI frameworks are transforming industries globally.
The session encouraged analytical thinking, creativity, and research orientation among learners, motivating them to explore innovations in robotics, automation, and process analytics.
